2010 OLYMPICS

Between The Lines:

Since hosting the 2010 Winter Games is a big challenge, especially according weather conditions. Vancouver and Whistler would surely fit the spot because, in order for the athletes to do winter sports, such as skiing and snowboarding, they'll need mountains full of snow, which is what we've got in British Columbia. The games would also be a great opportunity or us because, it give Vancouver and Whistler a chance to be recognized, which could lead to advertisements and sporting facilities.

Beyond The Lines:

a) Likes: I like the mascots because of the individuality of their character, and how they express themselves by not feeling left out. This occurs usually when I see pictures of them dressed up as themselves, and more importantly acting like themselves, and feeling confident with theirs names and who they are. To me they are like a family joined together from different religions, which is very important to see everywhere we go. i think e could learn alot from them and their interests.

Dislikes: What realy catches me off guard is the names of these mascots"Miga, Sumi, and Quatchi". I know judging them by their names isn't the right way to know someone, but to me I suggest having their names with more variety would help explain a mascot, rather than calling them something, and not being sure of the meaning.

Just Talk About It:

it will benefit the city because, it will give it a chance to be recognized, it will help the residents because, since the games are taking place in their homes they won't have to go far to see it. they are not good for the city and its residents because, after the games, all the construction might cause damage, and the residents will be bothered by the noise from the place where it all occurs.
